This Wollongong project involved a complete floor renovation, requiring significant groundwork to achieve the level of precision needed for a herringbone layout. The existing subfloor presented major inconsistencies, making it unsuitable for direct installation and demanding a comprehensive levelling solution.
To create a perfectly flat surface, Tetris Timber Flooring applied approximately 130 bags of self-levelling compound, ensuring the substrate met the exact tolerances required for a flawless herringbone pattern. This stage was critical, as even minor deviations can compromise both the visual alignment and structural integrity of the final result.
With the foundation prepared, the team supplied and installed the timber flooring in a carefully executed herringbone design. The finished floor delivers a refined, high-end aesthetic, combining technical accuracy with timeless style—resulting in a clean, balanced, and beautifully crafted space.
